Participated in the brand logo upgrade animation for the Hongkong Land - Guanchen - Wangyun Chao project. This 30-second animation begins with constellations, reconstructs into a metallic logo through particle restructuring, and reveals the project facade via a shooting star effect.
Experimented with a new proxy model workflow, achieving satisfactory visual and performance results.
Utilized Cinema 4D andOctane Rendererto generate high-precision PBR metallic materials, meticulously refined every detail on the models, and integrated all elements into the ACES color processing pipeline, resulting in impressive lighting and texture performance for the project.
This was my first attempt at incorporatinga large number of high-precision building models into Cinema 4D. By usingOctaneproxy mode, memory and VRAM consumption from high-polygon models were significantly reduced, while also avoiding the complex post-production layering workflow commonly associated with traditional multi-pass rendering. This allowed me to complete the entire project’s compositing output using only one beauty pass and one Z-depth pass.
